Advances in Invasion Ecology

Dates & Venue
16 May - 2 June
Departament of Biology, University of Minho.
Course Info

Study of the impacts of biological invasions, a pervasive component of global change, has generated remarkable understanding of the mechanisms and consequences of the spread of introduced populations. Although the increasing rate of biological invasions many gaps in knowledge still persist. In this course, using a multidisciplinary approach and theoretical and empirical examples, we will highlight recent progress in understanding invasion impacts and management, and discuss the challenges that the discipline faces in its science and interactions with society.
