TOPICS

This course includes theoretical modules on the following topics:

  • Global notions of nanoparticles, nanotechnology and theranostics.
  • Strategies to optimize production processes in order to obtain nanoparticles directed to solve specific problems, to be used in varying administration routes, for use in biomedicine.
  • Several nanomaterials and formulations used in nanoparticle production as drug, siRNA and/or diagnostic marker vehicles.
  • Techniques for evaluating biocompatibility, bioavailability and toxicity of nanoparticles.
  • Application of nanoparticles in diagnosis and therapeutics of chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer.
